Has the Godspeed’s journey been in vain?

Amy is just as shocked as everyone else on the ship, have they really reached the New Earth?

By John Irvin

This is the finale in the Across the Universe trilogy and, I must say, I did not know what to expect.

With all the chaos from book two, Shades of Earth came at me as a breath of relief. I mean, they’d actually arrived at their destination ahead of schedule?

But then, there’s the gut-wrenching plot twist as always and I was back to diving in the trenches with my fictional friends, holding on and hoping for dear life they’d make it through this.

If you haven’t snatched up the first two books, I want to ask you something…

What are you waiting for?

Grab them and grab this one now!

Here’s the link:

SHADES OF EARTH by BETH REVIS.

Since I’m sharing the links with Amazon, I want to give their book description:

“Amy and Elder have finally left the oppressive walls of the spaceship Godspeed behind. They’re ready to start life afresh—to build a home—on Centauri-Earth, the planet that Amy has traveled 25 trillion miles across the universe to experience.

But this new Earth isn’t the paradise Amy had been hoping for. There are giant pterodactyl-like birds, purple flowers with mind-numbing toxins, and mysterious, unexplained ruins that hold more secrets than their stone walls first let on. The biggest secret of all? Godspeed‘s former passengers aren’t alone on this planet. And if they’re going to stay, they’ll have to fight.

Amy and Elder must race to discover who—or what—else is out there if they are to have any hope of saving their struggling colony and building a future together. They will have to look inward to the very core of what makes them human on this, their most harrowing journey yet. Because if the colony collapses? Then everything they have sacrificed—friends, family, life on Earth—will have been for nothing.”

Do NOT miss out on the mystery and adventure: SHADES OF EARTH.

You know the Greeks, but do you know the Romans?

While Percy Jackson leads the Greek demigods, Jason leads the Romans

By John Irvin

When I discovered there was a spin-off series from my all-time favorite series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, you know I had to try it out.

I saw The Lost Hero and snatched it up.

Would Rick Riordan keep his theme of making me fall in love with the characters? Would I become best buds with these demigods who tramped across the world, fulfilling prophecies and such?

I’m so happy I bought the entire series.

I think I actually finished all five books within a month.

This one here, the introduction to the new phase, will introduce you to some pretty fantastic young people who have no idea about Camp Half-Blood.

You won’t want to miss out on this fantastic surprise twist of a first installment!

Here’s the link:

THE LOST HERO by RICK RIORDAN.

Since I’m sharing the links with Amazon, I want to give their book description:

Jason has a problem. He doesn’t remember anything before waking up on a school bus holding hands with a girl. Apparently she’s his girlfriend Piper, his best friend is a kid named Leo, and they’re all students in the Wilderness School, a boarding school for “bad kids.” What he did to end up here, Jason has no idea-except that everything seems very wrong.

Piper has a secret. Her father has been missing for three days, and her vivid nightmares reveal that he’s in terrible danger. Now her boyfriend doesn’t recognize her, and when a freak storm and strange creatures attack during a school field trip, she, Jason, and Leo are whisked away to someplace called Camp Half-Blood. What is going on?

Leo has a way with tools. His new cabin at Camp Half-Blood is filled with them. Seriously, the place beats Wilderness School hands down, with its weapons training, monsters, and fine-looking girls. What’s troubling is the curse everyone keeps talking about, and that a camper’s gone missing. Weirdest of all, his bunkmates insist they are all-including Leo-related to a god.

Rick Riordan, the best-selling author of the Percy Jackson series, pumps up the action and suspense in The Lost Hero, the first book in The Heroes of Olympus series. Fans of demi-gods, prophesies, and quests will be left breathless–and panting for Book Two.”

Do NOT miss out on the mystery and majesty of this book: THE LOST HERO.

Come Back to the Sea…

Emma has uncovered a family secret that has to do with her mom, now she has so much responsibility.

By John Irvin

Anna Banks stays true to her YA romantic fantasy theme in this sequel to the book, Of Poseidon, I’ve promoted a few weeks back.

Of Triton is stupendous and it had me tensely sitting on the edge, wondering how Emma and her boyfriend were going to muddle through this trapping plot.

It was a great follow-up to the first book and, since I recommended its predecessor, I must promote this work as well. You will only be pulled deeper into this ocean kingdom.

Here’s the link:

OF TRITON by ANNA BANKS.

Since I’m sharing the links with Amazon, I want to give their book description:

“Emma has just learned that her mother is a long-lost Poseidon princess, and now struggles with an identity crisis: As a Half-Breed, she’s a freak in the human world and an abomination in the Syrena realm. Syrena law states all Half-Breeds should be put to death.

As if that’s not bad enough, her mother’s reappearance in the Syrena world turns the two kingdoms―Poseidon and Triton―against one another. Which leaves Emma with a decision to make: Should she comply with Galen’s request to keep herself safe and just hope for the best? Or should she risk it all and reveal herself―and her Gift―to save a people she’s never known?

Once again, Anna Banks infuses Emma and Galen’s points of view with humor, intrigue, and waves of romance.”

Do NOT miss out on the mystery and majesty of this book: Of Triton.

The Wolves come out to Play

Can Calla get out of this treacherous plot? Can she save her pack?

By John Irvin

If you recall, back when I promoted the first book in this trilogy by Andrea Robertson (used to be Cremer), I bought this second installment first and read it before I discovered I’d missed the first volume.

Wolfsbane is the sequel to Nightshade.

No matter, both are intriguing, mystical, and quite fantastic in their unique portrayal of werewolves.

I also enjoyed the shade-realm mixed into this eerily romantic story.

The love triangle is also handled well, according to my opinion and I don’t tend to like love triangles.

Well, I mean, who does?

But they do seem to happen sometimes in real life.

So, snatch this book:

WOLFSBANE by ANDREA ROBERTSON.

Since I’m sharing the links with Amazon, I want to give their book description:

“When Calla Tor wakes up in the lair of the Searchers, her sworn enemies, she’s certain her days are numbered. But then the Searchers make her an offer, one that gives her the chance to destroy her former masters and save the pack – and the man – she left behind. Is Ren worth the price of her freedom? And will Shay stand by her side no matter what? Now in control of her own destiny, Calla must decide which battles are worth fighting and how many trials true love can endure and still survive.”

If you are in the least bit intrigued, click through here and join in the mystic action: WOLFSBANE.

Just a Little Note to say…

It’s time to be merry and bright and share love with family and friends.

By John Irvin

Nothing here today, except, a great big,

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

But I do have to mention everything below as with every blog article.

Either way, I hope today is a fantastic day of treats and gifts and, most of all, love!

Grant Burrows is at it again!

In the blink of an eye, he’s become the most powerful man on the planet, but does that really take away his fear?

By John Irvin

After the gut-wrenching ending to the first book, it was hard not to pick up this second one, Fearless, to see how Grant was able to continue on.

I’m trying not to give spoilers away here.

I was not disappointed with the continuation of this trilogy and definitely would not have it listed here as a favorite read if I did not like it.

The mysterious revelations of ancient cults and rituals is intriguing, the action is stupendous, and the “superhero” powers are great.

Please don’t miss out on Parrish’s fantasy Sci-Fi apocalyptic story of biblical proportions!

You just might be, too, so grab the sequel here:

FEARLESS by ROBIN PARRISH.

Goodreads gives this description:

“The world changed after that terrible day when the sky burned, and now every heart is gripped by fear Earthquakes, fire, disease, and floods pummel the earth, and its citizens watch in horror. But in the darkness there is hope–an anonymous but powerful hero whom the public dubs “Guardian” emerges from the wreckage. He is Grant Borrows, one a chosen few who walk the earth with extraordinary powers. They travel the globe, helping those in deepest peril and determined to uncover the secret behind this world-shattering cataclysm. But when signs of a dangerous ancient prophecy begin coming true, dark questions arise about secrets Grant might still be harboring. The world teeters on the brink. But some refuse to let it fall. They are: Fearless.”

So, whatever you do today, make sure you grab this book: FEARLESS!
