Waking up in a dungeon cell and not being able to remember who you are and what you’re doing there, is not a good way to wake up.

But when Grace is thrown into his cell, Duncan finally starts to regain some memories.

The Lupine Liberators have been seeking freedom for their enslaved peoples, the Wolf-Born, from the Dark Elves here on this world of Kyn.

But when shades and ghouls join the fray, it’s an old-enemies-become-allies-kind of ordeal.

This is a high fantasy, meaning, it does not take place on the planet Earth.

Though I have used the term Wolf-Born for an earth-bound race in my Longevity world, these creatures are not related. I can see how they would be confused with the rest of my Wolf-Born-focused books.

I woke up one morning with this idea in my head. This shapeshifter was captured and had lost his memory. So, I kind of explored his history with him, while the story unfolded, Duncan and I figured out his back story and who this Grace woman was.

When the nether showed up, I was surprised and mightily intrigued at what was going to happen next. With the plot twist, I wondered if the Lupine Liberators would actually achieve freedom for their people.

I’ve been told so many good things about this novella ebook. Several friends of friends have remarked how it reminds them of Lord of the Rings, only updated. Other folk have stated it encouraged them because it was easy to finish and they hadn’t finished a good book in ages.

This always tickles an author’s ears and makes him smile.
