The Lion speaks and a Kingdom is created

Another fascinating series I was late to read, but still recommend no matter how old you are.

I saw the movies when I was a child, but I never got around to reading the books. Again, being raised in Eastern Europe, I relied on my Granny sending my brothers and me Hardy Boys adventures and sending my Mom romance novels.

Soon after I graduated college, I got my hands on the complete collection of Chronicles of Narnia, which is printed as one big book.

It is now a part of my personal library.

Even as an adult, I enjoyed the fantasy and the adventures of the Pevensie children and the rest.

Weaving a tale of another world, CS Lewis, captivates the reader with a story of creation by Aslan the Lion. Narnia is his creation. Then the rest of the tales are the plot by evil to overtake the world and eventually the victory of Aslan at the Last Battle.

If you want a light-hearted story of in-depth tales of Earthling adventures who visit strange new lands through inter-dimensional portals, this is a series made for you.

Grant Burrows is back…or is he?

After the cliffhanger of the second book, I was lost until I could finally read this dark thriller finale

This Dominion trilogy by Robin Parrish is no different. The science fiction thriller triple threat will have you on the edge of your seat and up late at night … at least, it did that to me.

After having become a totally new person in the first book, then getting used to that new person in the second, has he become another new person?

When the thing crawled up out of the pit, I couldn’t read fast enough.

When She Quits Her Job and Starts Her Own Business

I was quite proud of Kate Daniels when she did what I did a few years ago. Quitting your traditional job and starting your own business is a scary thing…especially when the clients don’t seem to wanna show up at your doorstep with open arms and lots of Benjamin Franklins.

The Boy who would be a Thief

If it were up to the gods, Percy would be put to death for stealing Zeus’s lightning bolt…or did he?

So here is another series that I missed out on growing up, but I got to experience as an adult and, I think, enjoyed it more because of that.

The Percy Jackson series is a fantastic fantasy with clean humor because of its focus on kids.

I had seen the movies, disappointed they did not continue. I’d been recommended the books by several friends.

I’d seen the memes and the cartoons.

Finally, I found a friend who had more than one copy of the entire book series.

He was willing to sell me the box set for a good price.

So, when I read one book and needed to continue with the next fast, thanks to the cliffhanger, I had the next four ready wand waiting.

There’s a School hidden in the Highlands of Scotland

I’m a few decades late with my promotion, but YouTube wasn’t a thing back then.

Here’s a funny story. You know how I grew up in the 90s? If you’ve been following me any bit these past couple of years since I started the blog and the year since I started my YouTube channel, you’ll know this.

Well, you know how the Harry Potter series is a thing for 90s kids? Even the early millennials are fans usually. So, JK Rowling persisted through rejection from stupid people who didn’t know what they would be missing out on.

Now she’s a multi-millionaire from this entire franchise and an inspiration to almost every struggling authorpreneur.

Well, I’m going to be flat out open here. I did not actually start reading the books until last year! Can you believe that? Even the movies, it was only two years ago that I watched the whole series for the first time.

You see, having grown up in Eastern Europe, I missed out on a few things. Of course, I also experienced things probably 95% of my generation has never experienced. It’s a give and take.

But I’m now caught up, I think. Almost…at least. I’ve watched the whole series three times through now and only have one more book to read and I’ll have completed it.

I’m almost a pure-blood wizard, according to some ratings.

Anyways, I just found the entire book series for just $50 on Amazon! All seven books for ONLY fifty bucks. That’s under ten dollars each book. I believe that is an awesome price and worthwhile.

I’m already adding it to my to-be-bought list!
